Thunderbird 3 Edges Closer

thunderbird-logoFor those who don’t know about Thunderbird, Thunderbird is Firefox’s sister application, a powerful email client that shares Firefox’s incredible might for extensibility and usability.

“Mozilla Thunderbird is a free, open source, cross-platform e-mail and news client developed by the Mozilla Foundation. The project strategy is modeled after Mozilla Firefox, a project aimed at creating a web browser. On December 7, 2004, version 1.0 was released, and received over 500,000 downloads in its first three days of release, and 1,000,000 in 10 days” – Wikipedia

Thunderbird 3 beta 3 has recently been released. Version 3 comes with an interface overall which includes message summary and a tabbed interface.. Thunderbird is available to Mac, Linux and Windows. You may grab a copy of the beta from Mozilla’s site, however please note that it is still in beta mode, so expect bugs!

We all look forward to the long awaited and overdue final version 3 to this great application!
