Google Chrome OS Peak

chrome-osGoogle did mention to expect an early version of their operating system, soon. They did stick to thier promise and offered a development snapshot of thier upcoming operating system today. As speculated the operating system is the chrome browser on steroids, it seems that the whole interface is web browser centric. There will be no conventional applications, all the apps run on the OS is said to be web applications.

Google Announces Its Own Linux Operating System Flavour

Titled Google Chrome OS, Google just recently announced its plans to develop an operating system, based on the simplistic principles outlined in its popular browser, Google Chrome. Google initially aims to target netbooks for its operating system. Google chrome OS is set to be a Linux based open source system, therefore its price tag will be zero. Unfortunately many netbooks that are sold presently, are sold with Windows, and since netbooks are quite inexpensive, the Windows fee of the total price is usually a large portion of the total price. Hence the reason why Linux has began to make its debut into the netbook market, its cheaper, far more reliable and way more capable than the stripped down Windows netbook version.
