Useful Photo Orientated Chrome Extensions

With Chrome recently fully supporting third party extensions the flood gates are open to millions of developers around the world to build useful and innovative extensions that both enhance or improve online browsing with Google’s Chrome browser. A large part of Firefox’s awesome success is owed to extensibility, it would seem only natural that the Chrome which has proven to be an incredibly innovative browser would follow.

Gimp 2.8 scheduled to release at the end of 2010

GIMP’s developer, Martin Nordholts aka Enselic, has announced the release of GIMP 2.8 on 27th Dec this year. The schedule is not really fixed, its an estimated release date. GIMP Unified Interface – First Look

Waves were recently made in the open source image manipulation field when it was recently announced that the next major release of the incredible GIMP would feature a unified single window interface.

Gimp version 2.8 will be the first version of GIMP to have such a major update to it’s user interface. While many have become accustomed to its multi window approach, it has been seen by others as a weakness in this application usability. The new single window interface however has received a hugely positive response which can only be an indication that this move was the right decision to make.

Little Planets, also called polar panoramas, is a technique whereby a panoramic photograph is manipulated using either the Gimp, Photoshop or any other capable image editor into spheres.
